It is funny how they fight change. If you really consider the essence of change though, you will realize that change is actually that thing which keeps them young. That ability to adapt, to change their way of thinking, and to be challenged. The doing of a new thing. The changes here at the Crane Gulf Federal Credit Union are causing quite a stir! Excitement is in the air. They just made it through the Holiday Season and then their Annual Meeting. It was my pleasure to announce there first their big news - THEY'RE MOVING!
The credit union had always been housed in homes since it’s inception in 1958. In the mid-1980's, however, they bought the building they are in now and moved downtown. They have been in the same place for over 20 years. But it was time to move on and get something that would help them move forward as they serve their members.
They have bought the old savings and loan building on the corner of 5th and Alford and will be moving around the first part of July, 2008. It has a drive thru window that will be a great advantage to their members. They have applied for some grants to get some new equipment and programs - all on their way to a debit program, hopefully within a year. Their McCamey Office is moving, too! They will be moving in May, 2008. They will be located behind Christy Hodges Insurance Agency at 902 S Burleson in McCamey.
Look for the Grand Opening and come celebrate this change with them. So ya’ll come see them!
