It is funny how we fight change. If you really consider the essence of change though, you will realize that change is actually that thing which keeps us young. That ability to adapt, to change our way of thinking, and to be challenged. The doing of a new thing. The changes here at the Crane Gulf Federal Credit Union are causing quite a stir! Excitement is in the air. We just made it through the Holiday Season and then our Annual Meeting. It was my pleasure to announce there first our big news - WE’RE MOVING!
The credit union had always been housed in homes since it’s inception in 1958. In the mid-1980's, however, we bought the building we are in now and moved downtown. We have been in the same place for over 20 years. But it was time to move on and get something that would help us move forward as we serve our members.
We have bought the old savings and loan building on the corner of 5th and Alford and will be moving around the first part of July, 2008. It has a drive thru window that will be a great advantage to our members. We have applied for some grants to get some new equipment and programs - all on our way to a debit program, hopefully within a year. Our McCamey Office is moving, too! We will be moving in May, 2008. We will be located behind Christy Hodges Insurance Agency at 902 S Burleson in McCamey.
Look for the Grand Opening and come celebrate this change with us. So ya’ll come see us!
